    E-Commerce at Globoforce:

    The responsibilities for this role span global Merchandising, Catalog Management, and Vendor Expansion across all our top markets outside of North America.  You will be leading the e-Comm international team in Dublin, coordinating with the office in Boston to streamline efficiencies and evolve the e-Comm international roadmap.  In joining the e-Commerce team at this exciting stage, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our overall business and success metrics and will gain unparalleled experience in building a dynamic and robust e-Commerce offering and customer experience.

    The position will report to the Senior Director of Merchandising, e-Commerce.

     

    The Job

    Global Merchandising: Oversee and lead strategic planning for optimization of our redemption catalog and offering across 80+ countries, including working to improve catalog assortments and plan promotional merchandise collections.  Improve profitability on current offering through vendor negotiations and assortment planning. 

     

    • Responsible for setting the roadmap on catalog development, refinement and optimization through deep knowledge of current offering, technology and constraints, awareness of market trends and competitors, and analytical projects designed to uncover new opportunities
    • Lead strategic negotiations with global vendors to secure additional volume discounts for top-performing Gift Cards within our network. Source promotional funding by leveraging shelf space and new client growth
    • Identify and direct new opportunities to drive improved profitability of current offering; develop, scope and implement related initiatives with associated success KPIs and key milestones and track progress and impact following implementation
    • Lead global promotional program, working to elevate engagement and conversion of key items within core markets, and balancing top selling themes with localized promotions
    • Set direction of ‘deep dive’ analytical projects to uncover and support the product and site development roadmap, providing input and direction on solutions needed for catalog optimization – including tools, catalog infrastructure, vendor management and pricing

    Global Vendor Expansion: Lead the new vendor sourcing and integration effort across top global markets, including Asia, South America, Europe and other emerging markets 

     

    • Identify and vet potential new vendors to create a multi-tiered supply chain for sourcing the best assortment at the most optimal price; secure contacts and continually look to fill pipeline with prospective merchandise suppliers at the brand and distributor level
    • Negotiate with new vendors to sell Globoforce, our offering and secure the best possible terms as we scale our partnerships; create efficiencies in the process internally as standard milestones in the negotiation process are identified
    • Work with vendor expansion team in US, coordinating the integration effort to build cross-functional efficiencies
    • Maintain a clear perspective on market trends, pricing and best practices across retail and e-Commerce in the categories we sell
    • Work cross-functionally to build the roadmap for new vendor onboarding, further defining the workflow, processes and documentation needed as we continue to scale

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience in a category management or equivalent role, with 5+ years managing a high-performing team
    • E-Commerce experience required
    • Entrepreneurial leader – ability to develop and lead strategy while getting down in the weeds with the team to drive fast and effective execution with limited resources
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results in an unstructured environment
    • Deep experience in vendor and client negotiations; able to articulate strategic roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders
    • An evangelist who can get stakeholders on board with a plan and leverage cross-functional resources to get things done
    • Player/Coach mentality; Eager and motivated by the opportunity to develop the bench as our team continues to grow
    • Desire to make an impact on business decisions with data; possess a balance of strong quantitative and analytical skills with a passion in business and leadership
