    The Job

    In this key role, you will be involved in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of customer facing agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs) relating to our WorkHuman ® Cloud platform, as well as various amendments to existing agreements and ancillary documents. The position includes a substantial amount of communication with internal and external customers and requires strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    • Drafting, reviewing, analyzing, modifying and negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements and other contractual instruments with clients with the support of the business.
    • Interpret contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure and advise on same.
    • Partnering with internal stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, as appropriate, in a continued effort to streamline contract related processes as well as integrate templates across varied business units and functions.
    • Providing direction and guidance related to the contracting process. Providing input to the development, maintenance, and management of contracting policies and procedures.
    • Initiate and/or lead the development of innovative approaches to contracting requirements, obligations and exposures.
    • Ensuring conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance with the policies and procedures.
    • Supporting the global contracting process and technology strategy as defined by the Business Unit.
    • Facilitating internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes (escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties).
    • Educating business partners on key commercial, legal, corporate policy and other considerations by providing follow up information to clients and senior management to ensure timely performance and adherence to terms of contracts. Prepares contract summaries to assure proper interpretation of contracts.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Bar admission in good standing in Massachusetts
    • JD. required from a law school with excellent credentials
    • 7+ years of advanced contracts experience as an in-house attorney or equivalent experience in a law firm.
    • Experience with intellectual property matters and technology transactions (international experience strongly preferred). SaaS and cloud-based commercial negotiation experience a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
    • High energy level and high degree of self-motivation, with a sense of urgency to achieve stated business goals.
    • Ability to appropriately tailor legal advice to your audience.
    • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Skilled with the Microsoft Office suite, internet research tools and other commonly used business technologies.
