    In this key leadership role, the Director of Communications will design and execute a communications plan that leverages earned, owned, and corporate social channels to advance the incredible Globoforce story.  The job includes leading public relations, analyst/influencer relations, corporate social channels and company positioning. This individual will build and directly manage a phenomenal group of talented communications and marketing professionals in both the Framingham and Dublin offices. 


    Reporting to the VP of Content & Communications, this role is critical for elevating and expanding awareness of the category-defining Globoforce brand and message in a highly competitive, fast-changing market. This is an opportunity to help an enormously successful company tell their story.

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    • Collaborate with executive stakeholders on communications strategies to drive category creation and brand awareness through aggressive messaging and media relations.
    • Elevate the company’s external message, bringing new perspectives and vision to clarify and showcase Globoforce’s proven success, deep management bench, unparalleled product set, and global customer base.
    • Partner with product and marketing leaders to ensure communications programs and PR launches convey our world-class vision and positioning.
    • Develop company’s external “newsworthy” message, creating new levels of awareness about Globoforce’s category-creating innovations, industry-leading success and accelerating company growth to top-tier press, influencers and markets.
    • Lead Globoforce’s global PR strategy, which includes global media relations, speaking opportunities, awards, and leverage the company’s established (and growing!) set of internal and external speakers and influencers, including world-renowned speakers from its award-winning WorkHuman conference.
    • Partner with the Content Director to ensure content strategy is aligned with the social and PR editorial calendars and addresses relevant workplace and industry issues, news, and thought leadership.


    • 10+ years of corporate communications or relevant experience. Technology/software and in-house company experience a must. A bold leader, willing to push the envelope and collaborate with stakeholders to bring them along for the ride.
    • Experience in creating global corporate communications strategies, aligned with company and marketing goals.
    • Skilled at building and elevating relationships with key journalists, analysts, and influencers, including connection points in Silicon Valley. HR, financial markets, and investor experience a plus.
    • Thrives on developing alliances and relationships with outside/industry organizations and people that can further our thought leadership platform.
    • Confident leader who knows how to navigate high-growth companies and management to get things done.
    • Proven experience managing crisis communications and sensitive situations.
    • Empathetic manager with high level of emotional intelligence who thrives on developing the next generation of leaders.
    • Must possess a dynamic curiosity about our business, HR, and the opportunity ahead for the company.
    • Motivated self-starter who always looks for new ways of approaching opportunities and is invigorated by entrepreneurial ideas and decisions.
    • Ability to travel to conferences and events as needed by the role and business.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
