    The Job

     

    This position requires a talented, smart, driven and entrepreneurial eCommerce Specialist to help us profitably grow one of our high-growth categories. In this role, you will work with internal cross-functional teams to advance your category’s business agenda. You will have true ownership over a large group of sub-categories that have a material impact to the business. You will be a self-starter with passion for your category, and a creative problem solver. This is highly collaborative position & you will be responsible for developing our optimal merchandise assortment strategy through a combination of data analytics and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and interests.  You will determine what our offering should look like, build the plan and execute on the work across multiple catalogues & multiple customers. You will work cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Operations, and Marketing to deliver on your plan, playing a critical role in the development of our ecommerce business. The position will report to the Senior Manager, Global ECommerce

     

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

     Main duties & responsibilities:

     

    • Work to develop and implement global category initiatives in “Rest of World” (RoW) countries and align with local supplier catalogues.
    • Plan in partnership with marketing promotional campaigns to drive sales, both seasonal events and day to day sales & product events.
    • Consistently review analytics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Translate data to develop shopper insights and identify emerging market trends; define category strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on plans and constantly evolve our offering – including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Creative, Operations, and Customer Service.
    • Serve as internal expert on our offering in “Rest of World” (RoW), industry trends, and ways to stay ahead of the competition.                                                                                                                                                                                   

    Required skills and experience:

    • 3 to 5 years in e-commerce, retail merchandising or business setting with related experience.
    • Excellent On trend knowledge of eCommerce & technology.
    • Strong desire to produce and execute against an array of initiatives.
    • Interest in developing negotiation skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Excellent knowledge and use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.                                           
    • Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
    • Professional, bright, and customer-focused.                                                                        
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills.                                                          
    • High fluency in English or English as a first language.                                                          
    • Sense of humour/great attitude              
    • Ability to work on one's own initiative.
    • Ability to demonstrate a creative approach when problem solving.
    • Attention to detail is essential.
    • Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy.
    • Broad understanding of web technologies and online product distribution.
