    The Job

     

    • Own and direct the product roadmap for the Globoforce e-commerce business, spanning our e-commerce site and storefront experience and features, vendor integration, pricing strategy and functionality, web analytics, and customer marketing programs
    • Lead a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, UX Designers, Analysts, and other internal partners in an agile scrum environment to envision, build, and deliver a world-class e-commerce experience
    • Manage the product life cycle from inception to launch, including developing business cases, end-to-end product definition, development, and on-time delivery of key features and milestones
    • Inspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life
    • Understand and articulate client and customer needs, conduct ongoing customer research, leverage internal knowledge and expertise, and prioritize client and market requirements
    • Serve as an eCommerce expert for the company, both internally and externally
    • Employ a test & learn approach to quickly and efficiently test concepts, learn and iterate while taking informed risks
    • Create innovative solutions balancing long-term strategy with the ability to deliver quick wins in our test & learn environment
    • Collaborate closely with the merchandising and vendor development teams to evaluate, size and ultimately determine prioritization of development needs across pricing and the offering to maximize department goals and enhance the overall customer experience
    • Ruthlessly prioritize based on a combination of business objectives, resourcing, and ROI; proactively anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs and plan for scale
    • Obsess over performance and impact of your product domain; transform quantitative and qualitative data into insights and strategy to drive business objectives and product development priorities
    • Work closely and collaboratively with other teams and departments, including Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and other Product Management teams
    • Serve as a key leader of the e-commerce organization, partnering with the VP of ECommerce and other e-comm leaders to define and evolve the business vision, build and motivate the team, and deliver on business and financial goals

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 10+ years of product management experience (some e-commerce experience preferred), or those with exceptional business leadership experience looking to make a transition from consulting and other industries into e-commerce and/or product management
    • Superior communication skills; ability to work effectively across all levels and departments & generate buy-in for ideas and plans
    • Experience managing cross-functional teams; experience in an organization spanning multiple locations a plus
    • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience with hypothesis-driven learning and turning data into actionable insights
    • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for action and ability to deal with ambiguity; willing to identify and fill gaps where necessary to get the job done
    • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
    • Resourceful and creative; able to get things done even when resource-constrained
    • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
    • Ability to think and perform both strategically and tactically
    • Positive, team player attitude
    • Knowledge of Google Analytics a plus
    • Experience in enterprise cloud-based software a plus
    • Ability to travel 15% globally to clients, partners, Globoforce offices, and sales opportunities, as needed
    • BA with strong academic record; MBA a plus
