    The Job

    At Globoforce, every ecommerce decision big and small is driven by data.  As we build our plan for the next generation of our ecommerce experience and offering, our data and analytics needs are expanding rapidly.  This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in building a more sophisticated ecommerce analytics foundation and to also support the ever-evolving needs across the ecommerce business with data and reporting to power smart, analytical decision-making.  You will work alongside the VP and Directors of eCommerce to support the business strategy and needs across the entire department.  The perfect candidate for this role will bring experience with and a love of data combined with a strong interest in business and a desire to combine those to make a significant impact on our business and core goals. 

    The position will report to the Director of eCommerce.

    Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop web analytics reporting foundation:
      • Partner with senior eCommerce leaders to identify and define key reporting metrics
      • Establish metrics and tracking capabilities in Google Analytics, Birst, and other existing data platforms
      • Create standard and evolving reporting capabilities to support eCommerce team and broader organization by providing access and transparency to critical data
    • Partner with eCommerce Product team to integrate Google Analytics & associated reporting capabilities into new online store to enhance web analytics capabilities
    • Consult with internal business users/stakeholders across the Product Management and eCommerce teams to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights to drive development and business decisions
    • Perform deep dive analyses into consumer behavior on the site, ranging from pathing, funnel analysis to product integration, to identify pain points within the online experience
    • Wrangle data from multiple sources including web analytics, sales, product, Google Analytics, finance, and operations to create integrated views
    • Ensure data quality by testing and tracking on site so metrics are properly captured and correctly reported
    • Work with Product Management and stakeholders to set up, test, and report on A/B testing concepts and report on findings to make educated and calculated changes to the website
    • Prioritization and project management of cross-functional data needs and projects while proactively identifying additional areas in which analytics efforts can produce a strong value add to the business
    • Deliver & present data and analyses to stakeholders across the eCommerce department that lead to actionable insights to support and drive both strategic and tactical decision making

     

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • BA/BS with strong academic record, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline preferred
    • 2+ years of experience in a quantitative and analytical role with experience analyzing data
    • Experience with Excel and SQL
    • Experience with Google Analytics
    • Desire to make an impact on business decisions with data; possess a balance of strong quantitative and analytical skills with an interest in business and leadership

    • Resourceful and creative problem solver – proven ability to tackle complex challenges with limited resources
