The Job

The successful applicant will join the Finance team reporting to the Finance Manager providing financial accounting, analysis and support as required. It is a busy and varied role that will give the successful candidate exposure to all aspects of a financial accounting role.


Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation and consolidation of monthly US GAAP accounts for the group
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits
  • Bank reconciliations for multicurrency accounts and cash flow reporting
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparation and reconciliation of inventory
  • Maintain fixed asset register
  • Preparation and posting of journals including prepayments and accruals
  • Provide analysis of costs with detailed variance reporting
  • Preparation of VAT, RTD and VIES returns
  • Completing returns for CSO
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of financial reporting and accounting systems as well as implementation of internal controls
  • Ad hoc duties to assist the wider finance team

 Required skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Entry level Accountant - Accounting/Finance degree with a view to completing Accounting Technician/Professional Exams
  • 1-3 years experience working within an accounts function
  • Experienced user of accounting software and excel
  • Experienced at working in a multi currency reporting environment
  • Ability to report to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
