The Job

The Financial Analyst I is responsible for providing accurate and data based information on company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. You will research and analyze financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.

This position reports to the Director of External Reporting.

Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (forecasts, income statement forecasts, etc.) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Update and maintain revenue model by customer
  • Assist with the preparation of board materials
  • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Manipulate data in Excel, identifying and researching trends/anomalies
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Assist in driving process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Collaborate and build relationships with business partners throughout the organization
  • Assist with year-end audit procedures, as needed (analytics, memos, reconciliations, etc.,)
  • Generate documentation that appropriately references accounting guidance to support Company’s position of evolving accounting rules (i.e. ASC 606)
  • Perform ad hoc projects, as needed

 

 

Role Qualifications & Desires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, ACCOUNTING or related field required
  • 3-5 years of finance-related experience ideal
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software applications
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and reporting
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Process oriented with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Efficiently multi-task, and prioritize within a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-starter with a high level of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Strong organizational skills
