The Job


The Global Business Systems Group (GBSG) consists of 10 team members, and is responsible for key areas such as, the analysis of new projects and development, master data configuration, helpdesk and support, reporting, business system maintenance and process implementation that supports compliance and the optimization of operational resources. In addition, the group has a .net development team, responsible for the development of integration components and custom development.


The group supports Epicor and its associated applications and technologies, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other back-office technology. The group reports into the Director of Global Business Systems, who has direct reporting to the VP of Global Operations.

Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications


The Epicor Application Engineer will lead the requirement analysis and development of Epicor and its associated technologies. This role will provide in-depth application solution design, as directed by the GBS Director & Principal Application Engineer.



Main Duties & responsibilities:

  • Be our functional Epicor expert.
  • Work collaboratively with the Global Business Systems Director, Principal Application Engineer and the Financial and Operations analysts, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead the development of the Epicor systems and its associated applications in order to meet internal and external user requirements, directed by Principal Engineer and GBSG Director.
  • Working with our Epicor consultants and Epicor to further develop our solution design and technical knowledge base.
  • Working with functional users to understand how best we can leverage Epicor to support their roles.
  • Research and evaluate technology solutions and make recommendations relating to technology adoption.
  • Mentoring and directing junior team members.
  • Acting as Product Owner to Development Teams, dependent on feature being developed.
  • Any other duties, as directed By GBSG Director.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and technical skills required to understand complex business practices and opportunities.
  • Strong skills in planning, organization, scheduling, problem solving.
  • Must be able to take strategic direction from senior management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project
  • Strong familiarity with ERP applications
  • Strong abilities with the tools utilized in data analysis and related software implementation
  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to resolve issues
  • Microsoft office applications
  • Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities
  • Experience in Agile and Product Owner duties.
  • Strong familiarity with SQL and Excel technologies required

Education and Qualifications:

  • Business/Commerce/Science degree and/or appropriate experience and certificates
