The Job

The Web Developer will be play key role within the web marketing team to assist in the technical aspects of our online presence.  A significant portion of this position will involve custom development of online sales materials via an in-house platform.  Other responsibilities will include ongoing maintenance, updates, and development of corporate websites and other online properties.  This position will work closely with other developers, as well as our in-house designers, content producers, and other marketing team members.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, be dependable and responsive, and be willing to learn new technologies as new marketing initiatives call for them.

Responsibilities, Skills & Qualifications


  • Developing new web assets for new sales and marketing initiatives, including landing pages, microsites, demos, mobile sites, web pages, banner ads, redesigns, etc.
  • Working within existing Content Management Systems and other marketing platforms (Wordpress, Marketo, etc. – training provided)
  • Ensuring that all web properties are optimized and responsive for various browsers and devices
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and technologies that support web property development
  • Working closely with in-house marketing team (Content, Creative, etc.) to ensure web properties are on-match with our brand and message.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, or similar
  • Advanced training and/or web certification a plus
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS.  Working or developing knowledge of JavaScript, MySQL, PHP
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Willingness to learn home-grown development tools
  • Experience in (or a willingness to learn) the following a plus:
    • LAMP and web hosting infrastructure
    • Knowledge of principles, practices, trends, and techniques of web-based architecture, UX and navigation
    • SEO, including on-site optimization and keyword analysis
    • Web analytics, including implementing tracking tags and using Google Analytics to extract useful intelligence on website performance
